I am so excited to share Brittany and Matt’s Engagement Session on the blog today!
Brittany + Matt’s Story
Matt and Brittany met about 8 years ago through mutual friends. They never thought about dating each other but stayed in contact over the years. Matt and Brittany started talking to each other more and more about 3 years ago. Matt lived out of state but they talked pretty much all day and everyday. Brittany was hesitant at first because they were always just friends but when Matt went to Officer Candidate School and Brittany was unable to talk to him, she realized how much she missed him. After he graduated he came home to Pennsylvania before moving to Florida and they went on a date. Brittany knew he would be moving away but she didn’t care. When they went on the date, they were very comfortable with each other and Brittany said it just felt natural. They still spoke to each other everyday when he moved away. Matts brother was getting married to Brittanys friend and they both happened to be in their wedding party. Matt asked Brittany to be his date. They had the best weekend together and Matt asked her to be his girlfriend as they were dancing the night away at the wedding!
Brittany and Matt were living in Florida at the time and had planned to come home to Pennsylvania for a week or so because Matt had a break from flight school and Brittany was in a close friends wedding. Brittany’s two girlfriends took her to Buckingham winery for a girls day. They were inside wine tasting and her soon to be sister in law said “we should go outside and walk around.” They walked along the vineyard and after a few minutes Matt came up behind Brittany and surprised her with the song playing “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! They toasted with champagne before heading out to dinner. But little did Brittany know, Matt had one more surprise up his sleeve. After dinner, Matt had all of their closest family and friends waiting at Matts parents house for a sweet engagement party!
Brittany and I met in our freshman year at Archbishop Wood 14 years ago and have been friends ever since! I was thrilled when Brittany asked me to be their wedding photographer! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this October at The Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session!
