Alyssa and Connor’s story is one of those modern love stories that proves timing really is everything.
A Spring Longwood Gardens Engagement Session
They first met during mug night at Whitlow’s — a popular Arlington, VA spot for recent college grads — and it just so happened to be Connor’s birthday. Sparks flew immediately, and Connor didn’t waste any time asking Alyssa out. But life happened… and Alyssa ghosted him.
Fast forward about a month, and Alyssa had a change of heart. She reached back out, they went on that long-awaited date, and from there, the rest was history. What started with one unforgettable night turned into something real, steady, and full of laughter — the kind of love that feels easy and meant to be.
Last Labor Day weekend, Alyssa and Connor were spending time together at Alyssa’s family’s beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware. During a quiet evening walk along the shoreline, Connor asked Alyssa to stop, took her by surprise, and got down on one knee. Completely shocked, Alyssa said YES — but the surprises didn’t end there. Moments later, both of their families and best friends emerged from hiding on the beach to celebrate with them, making the moment even more meaningful and unforgettable.
For their spring engagement session, Alyssa and Connor chose the stunning Longwood Gardens — the perfect backdrop for a season full of new beginnings. With blooming flowers, soft greenery, and dreamy light around every corner, the setting mirrored their relationship beautifully: romantic, joyful, and full of life. From strolling through the gardens hand in hand to sharing quiet laughs in between photos, their session felt relaxed, natural, and so true to who they are together.
