I’m so excited to share Cecilia & Kevin’s Engagement Session on the blog today!
Cecilia & Kevin’s Story
Kevin and Cece first met at her sister’s wedding in October 2019. Kevin, a childhood friend of Cece’s now brother-in-law, was also part of the bridal party. Although they had heard each other’s names over the years, their paths had never officially crossed until that day. Interestingly, years later, they discovered an old photo of themselves from their childhood at the Lawncrest 4th of July parade — a moment that feels like a perfect example of the “invisible string” theory bringing people together.
The Proposal!
Cece described the engagement as absolutely perfect — an intimate moment shared between just the two of them (and Kelly, of course!). It took place at the covered bridge in Wissahickon Park, a meaningful landmark for the couple, as it marked the usual turnaround point for their runs and walks together. After leaving the park, Cece and Kevin headed to The Rook in Manayunk for lunch, savoring the excitement of the day. The energy of the entire experience allowed them to fully embrace the moment and celebrate the start of the next chapter of their lives. “He did an amazing job,” Cece shared with a smile.
Kevin and Cece are filled with excitement as they prepare for their wedding day. Their ceremony will take place at St. John the Baptist Parish, a beloved church in their neighborhood that holds deep meaning for them. Seeing the church almost daily has made their bond and commitment grow even stronger throughout the planning process.
Following the ceremony, they will celebrate at the beautiful Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, a venue they adore for its stunning scenery and timeless atmosphere. Their wedding vision reflects their style perfectly — classic, simple, and elegant, with a color palette of black accented by touches of gold and champagne. Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen to create a day that feels both sophisticated and heartfelt, a perfect start to their life together as husband and wife.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall! Here are some of my favorite photos from their engagement session!
